Happy New Year!!!!!!!
I hope 2008 is good to you and unleashes all kinds of wonderfulness your way.
My NYE was pretty low key. I worked and nearly had a couple of heart attacks but everything turned out ok. I just needed to throw back a few drinks and call it a night.
You know that I can get cranky when dealing with crowds, so I opted not to venture to the happening places. I wandered to the corner wine bar where I was very happy and got there just in time for a 2-4-1. I was on the phone with Pepper at midnight, and I had a super lazy New Years Day. It was perfect.
Now that I've met a handful of people here, I'm realizing it will be damn near impossible to find friends as good as you. I like most everyone I've met so far, but unfortunately my Aussie friend left very abruptly. I saw it coming.
I think I'm sort of a misfit here, which is fine. I'd rather be able to roll with everyone instead of trapped in one or another clique, as it seems to be in this expat community. In the meantime, I'm working on my wardrobe since everyone here is beautiful and polished and rich.
I'm totally craving another tattoo. Or another few tattoos. It's way overdue.
Resolutions? I don't think I need any. I always make them up on the fly and it seems to work. Tonight I have to pick up a pair of shoes I ordered, exchange some pants, and if I have the chance I might enroll at a gym. I want to do it today since it's the busiest day at the gym and I want to see how packed it gets.
I guess I do have resolutions but it doesn't have much to do with the new year. Dress better. Quit looking like a scrub. Be better with money. Don't be fat. Read more.
