Boulderland

I'm dying to get back into climbing.  It's been months and months and months.  But the trip to Boulderland was not the way to go.  It should have been fun, going with a group of friends and not excluding those not certified for the King's Park wall.

Strike 1: BFE.  It was pretty far.  Living in HK, things are usually only a few minutes away, so any distance is annoying.  If this was the only strike I could have lived with it.

Strike 2: Open the door and you are overwhelmed with the smell of feet.  Someone immediately turned around.  If I knew that was an option, I would have done so as well.

Strike 3: As a safety precaution when bouldering, you'll find crash pads below you to safely land on.  Instead we got mattresses.  Dirty, old, nasty MATTRESSES.  It was like something out of a horror movie I swear.  How do you even clean that and keep it sanitary?  Major strike.  No wonder it smelled.

Strike 4: The place wasn't that big, but boy was it crowded!  We had to take turns and wait awhile for the walls.  There wasn't really any place to stand because people were falling from the sky.  It made me so uncomfortable.

Add all that up and I didn't climb for more than 30 seconds.  And adventure for sure, but never again!

This is not a commercial facility for business purpose and you were actually not invited. Shame on you for your ignorance about indoor bouldering and criticizing attitude.
