Me and the Red Cross
Today I went to a volunteer orientation at the Red Cross.
Yes, I'm going to be a Red Cross Volunteer.
During the meeting, this occured to me.
Every year growing up we had earthquake drills. We are skilled at ducking, covering our necks, holding on to desks. Or holding on to doorways and alternate exiting strategies.
But what about my transplant friends??
For a second I was scared for them. But you guys are smart. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Jeff's 31st Birthday
Ok, so I'm actually a month behind, but I'm working on something BIG. Not the kind of work that pays, just the kind that entertains me. In the meantime, enjoy this slideshow of the funnest night.

Last Stop: Cincinnati & Columbus, OH
Officially the last tour for HGTV's That's Clever! Season 3, my last stop is Cincinnati & Columbus, OH.
I was very excited to go because I've never really been to the mid-west and I probably wouldn't have had the opportunity to visit Ohio. Also, why is it considered the mid-west when it's pretty much east?
I really enjoyed both cities.
Renting a car for 3 weeks is really expensive!
This is all Cincinnati, btw.
First shoot with Amy Wallace.
If you can see the spot, that is the first firefly I ever saw. It was a little creepy, but really cool.
Our guest and crew after a good day of shooting.
A feast at Skyline Chili. Chili over spaghetti, that's right. Lettie told me to.
My hotel room at the Blackwell Hotel, on campus at Ohio State University.
From here on is Columbus.
The 4th of July at Easton Town Center. It's kind of like the Grove, if we had more land.
A fancy McDonalds.
For Cam.
Did I hear this was designed by the people who did the Grove?
Taking a drive around downtown.
View from my window, OSU football stadium.
Watching fireworks from my room.
My director, Chris.
Does this freak you out, Meredith?
Short North.
Shooting at Doug and Todd's house.
Oprah's favorite ice cream, Graeters, changed our lives.

Lucha VAVOOM!
I'm not sure how to describe LUCHA VAVOOM so I'll start from the beginning.
A few years ago, some creepy dude at happy hour told me about some show at the Mayan with Mexican Wrestlers and Burlesque Dancers. And something about midgets. And that it was awesome and I should totally go. I nodded my head and smiled and thought he was insane.
Present Day. Lucha Vavoom is coming to town and Marie says we should go. She went last year and said it's a hoot. Ok. Why not?
We got a big group of fun peeps together. The Silver Lake mafia crammed Taco Bell down our throats and we arrived at the Mayan Theatre Downtown. It was my first time there and it's amazing. Built in the 20s, the Mayan is an homage to a pre-Columbian temple and was once the home of Gershwin musicals.
At the drive thru. Why do I look like a muppet?
We arrive, grab drinks, and wait for the show to begin. The night begins with our comedian hosts.
Next, a pair of dancers with some acrobatic moves.
And on to the wrestling. Can you spot the Chupacabra?
I shout, "Kill him!"
It's Midget Mexican Wrestling!
I would have to say that it was one of the better moments of my life. I was shouting and screaming and cheering the whole time. I highly recommend you go too.
